Marketing Coordinator

Position Description: The Marketing Coordinator is the position for a leader who can take ownership of processes, take initiative, and engage with the entire team.  The Marketing Coordinator will help in managing both our existing sales pipeline and developing new lead opportunities  . This position will assist in the coordination and implementation of marketing strategies and will work with the Director of Marketing to generate new leads. This position will also coordinate corporate events, trade shows, career fairs  , etc. and will support creative ways to promote the company (i.e. social media, advertising, email campaigns, etc.)

Marketing Functions - 45%

• Coordinates marketing events  to ensure industry awareness of products, brand and capabilities

• Manages inventory of marketing promotional items and places orders when needed 

• Maintains and organizes the storage of digital marketing collateral in company share drives 

• Maintains the database of leads generated through lead generation forms, trade shows and other avenues of gated data entry

• Develops communication plans in collaboration with sponsors and stakeholders to execute strategic initiatives throughout the organization; works closely with marketing to ensure the alignment of internal and external messaging

• Assists in managing the marketing function of the company’s CRM  

• Provides and oversees distribution of company branded materials for new employees 

Tradeshows  and Events - 45% 

• Plans and coordinates G-CON tradeshows, exhibits and event details, including shipping, logistics, attendees, registration, accommodation coordination, materials, communication, set up and breakdown

• Travel may be required  

• Seeks additional tradeshow and sponsorship opportunities each year

• Participates and coordinates post event analyses with the sales and marketing team

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree: Marketing, Communication, English, or a related field preferred but not required. 

Minimum of 3 years Experience in a marketing or sales support capacity.

Int. – Adv. Experience with event management and coordination. 

Int. – Adv. Experience using a CRM such as Hubspot

Adv. Knowledge of social media platforms for business 

Beg. – Int. Lead generation strategies and techniques

Adv. Organizational Skills

Adv. Communication Skills

Adv. Time-management skills

Beg. - Int. Understanding of life sciences industry

Adv. Skill in basic computer functions such as word processors, spreadsheets, presentation and proficient in Microsoft Office
